NOTICE:
Hello y’all,
The St Johns Bucklands Beach Co-operating Parish had their Annual General Meeting (AGM) this morning on the 5th of October 2025 for the year starting July 2024 to June 2025. I have gained confirmation of the temporary hiatus that the Youth Group would be facing effective immediately as of the 5th of October 2025. The recommendation of AGM chair Julie Dickey is that for the Youth Group to continue (in its former capacity), at least 2 adult leaders, of which both must be vetted by the New Zealand Police and hold valid First Aid Certificates, are required; none of these requirements do we fulfill as of now.
TLDR; The Church AGM has confirmed that Youth Group in its former state is on pause until further notice.
Attached below is the Youth Group Report in the Annual Report for year starting July 2024 to year ending June 2025.

This is a full on couple of hours with a blend of games, supper, discussions and general good fun. Most weeks are teaching and games nights but we do have ‘community’ nights where we invite the wider church and community to join with us.
